Bio
Hard to believe that a 1968 Gibson ES330 could spark a love affair with music, but it did. At age 9, Greg picked up his dad’s vintage Gibson guitar, cracked open an instruction book and fell in love. Twenty some odd years and countless bands later, the fire still burns in his soul. Playing guitar is a compulsion, rather than something he enjoys doing. He has to do it. According to him, nothing satisfies like loud electric guitars blasting through vintage tube amplifiers.
Greg studied music production in college in the early 2000’s. In 2008, he founded the rock n roll band Melted Horses some with long time friends/former bandmates. The band's debut EP “Live Burnin’” was recorded in concert in April of 2011, and released in August that same year. The Horses entered the studio the following year to record their full length studio album. Tracking was completed on 13 songs, but due to complications beyond their control, the album was never released. Greg hopes to finish mixing the tracks and release the album in the future.
Following the hiatus of Melted Horses, he formed The Stregs in 2019 with another longtime friend. They wrote an album worth of songs and planned to enter the studio to record, but were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They plan to enter the studio and record their debut in 2022.
Currently, Greg is writing a solo record in his home studio in California. Other than playing guitar really loud...he enjoys giving guitar lessons, songwriting, recording/producing other artists, and photography.
